Author Visits

I'm available for both in person and virtual events, including:

  • School & Library visits

  • Classroom presentations (including Zoom and google classroom)

  • Small group discussions

  • And more!

If you have something else in mind, lets talk. I'm extremely flexible and excited to make things work.

Presentations and Workshops

Sample topics include:

  • POETRY: Let’s talk poetry or do a fun, interactive workshop

  • A Closer Look At The Story: Discussions of any of my books.

  • WRITING WORKSHOPS: Students explore the craft of writing in the following hands-on writing workshops: These can be done in any numbers of ways and work best in collaboration with the teacher or teachers. Note that these can also include a follow up free of charge!

  • WHAT’S IN A STORY/STORY WORKSHOP: An Intro to Creative Writing

  • Chris is also able to develop a custom program for your specific group.

Each presentation includes a Q&A, and can be tailored for the audience's age group and needs (kids through adults).

What others are saying:

“I had the privilege to host Chris Baron at my bookstore and then to introduce him to teachers at High Tech Middle School where he did a presentation. Chris is a wonderful speaker who inspires students to read and write. He is funny, a master at his craft and so pleasant and genuine. Hosting Chris at any school or bookstore event is a treat!”

Marianne Reiner Owner of Run for Cover Bookstore

It is such an amazing book!

Students embraced the main character Ari. Chris’ personal connection with the story made his presentation more meaningful. Highly recommend.”

Mimi Yogaratnam,

Director of Information Services,

St Mary's School.

I stayed up all night to finish the book.

Student from Gina Wickstead's class,

High Tech Middle School

Chris's presentation helped students become better writers and me to become a stronger writing teacher! Students were inspired to write more and revise their writing after the presentation. Also, students love his book. So far I have heard, "It is such an amazing book" and "I stayed up all night to finish the book."
